Statewise Production of Garlic 2025
• Madhya Pradesh has consistently dominated garlic production in India, accounting for over 60% of the national output across all years. Its area under cultivation has also steadily increased, reflecting focused efforts in expanding production. Rajasthan showed fluctuations, with a significant drop in FY23 and FY24 but rebounded in FY25. Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat follow as secondary producers, both displaying modest increases in yield and area. Assam and Punjab maintained stable outputs, with Assam showing a notable jump in FY24. Nationally, garlic production has grown from ~3.19 million MT in FY21 to ~3.42 million MT in FY25, indicating a positive overall trend driven largely by key states and improved cultivation practices.
