India's milk production has shown a consistent upward trend from 198.4 million tonnes in FY 2019 to 239.3 million tonnes in FY 2023. \n This steady growth reflects improvements in dairy farming practices, better veterinary care, and increased demand. \n The annual rise highlights the sector’s resilience and its crucial role in supporting rural livelihoods and nutritional needs.

Between FY 2019 and FY 2023, India’s alcoholic beverages exports remained relatively stable, fluctuating within a narrow band. \n Exports dipped from ₹222.7 crore in FY 2019 to ₹201 crore in FY 2020, possibly due to global trade disruptions. \n After a modest recovery in FY 2021 and FY 2022, the value reached ₹219 crore in FY 2023, nearly matching FY 2019 levels — indicating a slow but steady rebound in international demand for Indian alcoholic beverages.

The livestock sector in India has experienced consistent and substantial growth from the financial year 2017–18 to 2022–23. The total value of output increased from ₹10.43 lakh crore to ₹17.25 lakh crore, indicating a remarkable growth of around 65% over six years. \n  The milk group remains the dominant contributor to the livestock sector, with its value rising from ₹7.07 lakh crore in 2017–18 to ₹11.16 lakh crore in 2022–23.
