From FY21 to FY24, passenger numbers more than tripled, with AAI and Joint Venture airports contributing the most. FY24 marked a peak in total passenger handling, indicating robust revival in air travel demand. /n The projected dip in FY25 may reflect seasonal variation or updated estimates, though overall trends suggest continued growth in the sector.
PPP Airports in the below data includes Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangalore, Jaipur, Guwahati and Trivandrum.
Post FY21, since covid there seems to be a clear recovery in air passenger traffic across Indian airports. The number of passengers handled by Airports has gone up by more than 3x. Joint Venture Airports, contribute the most in terms of sheer numbers.
